About Colleen's New England Kitchen

Our History

Welcome!

My family and I live in Sanbornville, a small New Hampshire town near the Maine border. We raise our own cattle, cultivate a patch of over 600 pumpkins to sell each fall, and cut our own hay. My family has lived in this rural area for over 250 years. Arriving here in the mid- 1700’s, they were among the first settlers. We have always been hard-working women, working the land alongside our husbands and warming our homes from what’s cooking in the kitchen.

The recipes in our family have been handed down generation to generation. Most of the recipes I’ve included here are original to me but grow out of our family tradition of home cooking. For the past thirty plus years I have sold my pastries to the public from my home-baking business and for several years I have wanted to write a cookbook unique to this area.  We will be offering TEA PARTIES IN MY NEW ENGLAND KITCHEN!

STARTING SPRING OF 2025

Colleen's  New England Kitchen is coming soon. A NEW & UPDATED version from the original book in 2001
